Well...i don't want any bitching in this thread about taking sides...but i'm a little ranted out right now so i'm just gunna cnp my recent journal entry


I know a lot of people are boycotting deviantart...and taking sides on something they think they know a lot about. I'm gunna choose not to pick a side on this one, and i know that there's a lot of turmoil on this site..and half of you people out there make things worse sending hatenotes and having those "fuck jark" avatars, we want jark, etc. I know that jark was a cool person and a great admin, and i'm all for supporting him, but don't completely flame spyed. By takign that route, you're only stooping to a lower level than whatever one of them stooped first. I know i'm far from being an influential member like a jasinski or niteangel or suzi9mm, but i do have a voice and this is what i have to say. Take a step back, and say to yourself, "Have i met or talked to someone on DA who has made my desire to create art burn stronger, or someone who was really cool and fun to talk to, a great friend who listened to a problem even though i've never met them in real life? Have i met someone who saved me from making a bad life-changing decisin?" If true, is it really worth wrecking this community? IF just ONE person would sign up on DA and meet someone like that, isn't it worth keeping your deviations on here? I'm just saying....is it worth it over losing an admin to remove all your work from here? Deviantart is more important than any of us give it credit for..so if things are bad now are you just going to abandon ship? Go ahead, remove your deviations, change your avatar and delete your journal entries...infants.

I saw some of you removed your galleries on dA...i&#39;m disappointed. I thought our communtiy, above all others...would be able to be above just taking a side and removing their work. I know most of you still have your work saved on your comp...but still....
Anyways....let&#39;s say taco and illegalx just up and decided to fire coldcatalyst. Would you take sides and quit gfxvoid? I&#39;m sure taco and illegal had their reasons....but still i can&#39;t believe they just fired cc. Oh look...there&#39;s an email they sent to cc talking about it. Still though..i odn&#39;t care. CC would&#39;ve never done anything wrong, he&#39;s perfect....i&#39;m going to quit gfxvoid and erase all of my meaningful posts and delete all my helpful comments to new users. I can&#39;t believe they did that to CC.



^i know the above comparison is a bit extreme...but still, there ARE parallels...and those of you who delete your work are no better than whoever stooped to the lower level. This is a quarrel between the dA staff, and we have no place in adding to the already immense stress of running a large site like dA. We&#39;ve had pushed-to-the-brink flamewars on gfxvoid..and we all say how we don&#39;t want the request forum...or sig shops, things like that. But i guess things are different in a place like dA. NO, they are not. So if you&#39;re going to be a better person on gfxvoid, do it on dA also.

I really don&#39;t care what happens to DA now. It&#39;s so massive, I think it&#39;s lost alot of it&#39;s charm. :shrug:

Wow, Well I just semi caught up on this. I knew nothing about it till I saw this post :P

So on what official grounds was Jark let go or what&#39;s the whole story if you can tell it in the most part?

I haven&#39;t read the whole story, and i support jark, but not to the point of leaving DA. Though i WOULD leave DA if Jark and Matteo made a new place. And i don&#39;t like the example you used. I would never fire CC and neither would Taco. CC is in a higher position than i . I&#39;m not staff.

I, personally am disgusted with the way DA have treated both Jark and we members. I&#39;m boycotting DA, at least until they release the truth, give staff and ex-staff members permission to tell it, or try to make the peace somehow. I&#39;m not, however, flaming anti-Jarks, or even Spyed. It&#39;s pointless, and ranting and raving never achieves anything. Logical discussion may, and there&#39;s plenty of people doing both. So I&#39;m just going to sit back and wait until I&#39;m needed. I am one of those who&#39;ve removed their gallery, and those images will be going here instead. I cannot support an organisation who&#39;d treat their founder like that, and even members.

And if they decided to fire/demote CC, I&#39;d certainly be up in arms&#33; I always stand by my family.
