I Wonder...

Sometimes I wonder why.
I wonder why I do what I do
and I wonder why I care.
I wonder how I've become who I am
and I wonder why it should matter.

I wonder why I care about some people
and I wonder why I can't let my feelings go.
I wonder why I'm quick to hate
and I wonder why I'm quick to befriend.

I wonder why I keep living,
I wonder why I keep fighting.
I wonder why I even bother with honor
and I wonder why I care about glory.

So many things I don't know, so many things not understood.
I am who I am because of what I do, and I do what I do because of who I am.
I hate because I befriend, and I befriend because I hate.
I fight because I live, and I live because I fight.

I wonder many things, so many still go unexplained,
but one thing I am sure of is that I am a fighter.
I fight for honor, I fight for glory.
I fight to live, I fight to fight some more.
I fight for my friends, I fight for my enemies.
I fight to be who I am, I fight to do what I do, and I fight because it matters.

Yeah I was just about to say, hold shift. Anyways I dunno if it's that great, it's just kinda something I threw together in a few minutes. I might revise it later... I've got a great idea for a written work (poem or paragraph or whatever) but I haven't been able to put it into words. The two works I've posted here so far kinda go around the issue without really hitting it in the center.

i suggest watching fight club if you haven't already

it kinda reminds me of your poem. coming out swinging because you can.
but more mentally than physically, kind of like fight club
