Some how I have completly screwed the text sizing in photoshop. There was a contest on an Age Of Empire 3s forum for making a (forget the name but they are the little pic by the web site address at the top... 16x16pixels or something)

Yeah well anyways I tried to do some insanly small font, now when its set back to default, it shows the blinking line as font 76 or so, but when I type.. nothing comes out... xD

Is there some way to reset photoshop to default settings?? Or a way I can fix this, this is really annoying now I cant add text.

What is your current dpi on that document? Set it to 72 if you haven't already.

    The answer is there.

For future reference please do a search of the forums before posting a question. This one gets asked with relative frequency.

    Thanks very much :P

    Edit

Hmm, I deselected the Resample Image, and the resolution is 72 (as it was) but the font still does not work. I also read the explanation in the other thread of why this is happening... hmm weird... is there any other causes?

Could you do me a favor to help me figure out the problem.

open the image as normal and right click on it's window frame click on "Image Size..." and take a screen shot (hit the PRINT SCREEN/SysRq button on your keyboard, close the image size window and hit CTRL+N to make a new document, CTRL+V to paste the screenshot, crop it down so it's just the image size window and upload it here). Then adjust the resolution and take another screen shot. So I can check all your settings and stuff.

From that I should be able to figure it out, thanks.

This is how it is now, still not working.

Hmm well I already have it as 72, but if you want me to just do another one anyways. I change the res to 200, took a ss of the imagesize page, applied it, then opened a new document, pasted the screenshot in.

    Thanks again hehehe

okay. make sure your font is set at something like 12pt. Make sure it's in PT not px or pica's or anything else. And it may seem dumb, but I have to mention it, make sure that the font color isn't the same color as your background.

Also, be sure you're using Arial regular and not some strange font.
