This shot was really a pain in the ass. Here's the story.

I noticed this butterfly, which I thought looked cool under our car, all wet. I "scared" it away, and was planning to follow it, til it landed. The good thing was that it was all wet from the rain the day before, which made it hard for it to fly, god I was lucky. He settled down on this leaf, quite close to the car, but there was one problem, his wings were shut.

I waited, and waited for him to open them, and finally he did, but just for one second, then he closed them. I waited again, and the same thing happened, but when he did it the third time, I was ready with the cam, and took the picture. I went like: woohoo!. Then I realized, on the display, I saw this freaking leaf in the upper right corner, and I thought: Well, I'll just take a new one. I was wrong. He just flapped away, and there was no freaking way I could ever follow him, he went straight over the road, heading across the lake, lol. And there it is. The butterfly covered by.. A LEAF. And that's why the leaf is locaded where it is. Although, it doen't have to be that bad. It does somehow create even more deph in the picture, at least I think so.. in one way at least. well, well.

Even if you didn't read all this, I still want you to comment this shot! So please do

i really like your photgraphy, though i think this would look better on its natural green background rather than the black and white. it would still stand out plenty and wouldn't have that look as if it were cut and pasted.

you could have used the clone tool to fix it, but very nice shot man. i agree with big, might look better with really vivid greens.

The leaf is no biggie. I like the shot, but the color is too strong with the black and whit background. I think either be more selective with the color (like only the pale blue dots on the wings) or reduce the saturation on it.

There, is the colored version, where I haven't done much with the picture at all. I kind of agree with you all, that it do look like a cut-out, but it still does, in one way, lol. Damn butterfly. Hihi. Going to bed soon , I'll reply later. Thank you all for commenting though, really is great to see your opinions on this/these. Thanks
