Came up today in a magazine I was reading, so I thought I'd ask it here....Do you think that the Bible and Creation should be taught at grade school? That since evolution is taught Creation sahould be too? That it be mandatory? Why or why not?
I do NOT think it should be taught at grade school.....what if there's an atheist or a Jew, Buddhist....I would never take a class like that....ever.

yes and no, it depens on if people are religious, you can be atheist and you dont want to read bible so you dont have to....
-
So liek, bible and the creation?
lol
their already teaching it in finland
but if your not lutheran, liek 95% population is, you get some special thing

I think it should be taught at school, but only as a religious theory, along with Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism and all the others. I don't think it should be taught as fact.

no. they do it in primary school over here for christianity or something like it, they're all the same... I dont think I believed any of it though, you'd think you'd be amazed by a guy walking on water but i never seemed to on matter how young... but anyway i think you should have a right to choose religion... I'm pretty much athiest but I'm anglegan by paper...

No. If i wanted to read the bible, i would go to church.

I think that the Bible has its place in subjects in the field of Humanities. Since the Bible can be interpreted in many ways, like literature, and how these interpretations affected history.
Not in science, since there is no evidence to show that a 600 year old man built a big boat for animals to live in, amid cramped conditions. Noah was a dick :X

I doubt anybody will reply yes to this. Either way though, the reason that they teach evolution and not creation is because evoluation has been proven true. Creation is simply one religion's little theory.

Yea, if you are going to teach the bible, you might as well teach the Quaran, Dao-de Ching, Analects, Torah, 9 Theses w/e.... just so you don't look like a hard-core bible-thumper.
You'll look like a hard-core religious text thumper ;P
