It looks good, but the text effext is very unclear and the bakground has to much blur I think.

Ahhh text is not visible! Maybe add some white stroke or glow or change it totally. I like that border, maybe add some more brighter red to the bg.

    Keep it up

have to agree with twan... the border looks very kewl, but the text isn't really readable...
some light to the backgrnd would do wonders i think. a render or some brushes or so...
maybe add a pic that you editted first, so it seems the pic is made of/ coming out of the bg .... ( ? ) ( I kinda like the idea of the bg as a sort of fog or something...)

there's a million ways to go with it from here ...
    keep it up

The colours look awesome, but for the text - Try putting a grungier, dirty ... cracked font. But quite light, the cracks should keep it in the dark feel though.

Nice job on the border bg again. Looks cool together.

Check out the sitei posted for renders in another part of gfxvoid... has a cuople off cool renders there.

For what you have so far ( jusdging as just a bg and border ) I think about a 8.4/10.

Just keep the good quality work when you do the rest ^_^
