phoenix: a legendary Arabian bird said to periodically burn itself to death and emerge from the ashes as a new phoenix; according to most versions only one phoenix lived at a time and it renewed itself every 500 years

recently a good friend of mine died in a car accident, in honor of him, i made this peice of digital art.

I do not like the first one what so ever the render is bad and the text is all pixilated but the 2nd one is pretty sweet. The only thing is the green colors of the render do not go well w/ the bg at all. If they were all colored like the one in the bottom left hand corner theyd be great.
