    can anyone give me some ideas on what to do to this on photoshop, or how i could get this lighting looking better

    re-render it with alpha layer , so u can cutout background easily , if u didnt do that yet, than go on da and find some tutorials on how to brush over abstract renders, u can find some if u will look into http://3d-abstract.deviantart.com/ and there in Journal with Resources

    lol, yup. I am one step ahead. i have 'down scaled' the image and made a quick background for 'display purposes only'

    Hmm not bad, you could make some nice abstract art with that, the lighting isnt too bad, i'd leave it as it is, it'll look better on a background, use blending modes, and put a fractal behind.
