Windows XP password

Hey guys I have a friend whos can't install anything for the admin forgot their password and the windows won't let them install without the admin pass.

Anyway to get around that?

This hack will only work if the person that owns the machine has no intelligence. This is how it works: When you or anyone installs Windows XP for the first time your asked to put in your username and up to five others. Now, unknownst to a lot of other people this is the only place in Windows XP that you can password the default Administrator Diagnostic Account. This means that to by pass most administrators accounts on Windows XP all you have to do is boot to safe mode by pressing F8 during boot up and choosing it. Log into the Administrator Account and create your own or change the password on the current Account. This only works if the user on setup specified a password for the Administrator Account. This has worked for me on both Windows XP Home and Pro.

lol thats pretty good man, what i usually do if i forget is just loggin with my safe cd and then just set everything up from there. or i just remove the protection on certain partitions on my hd then i can sneak in thru there

I am admin and i have good pc knowledge and hidden i think :S another admin account with no pass so meh

Lol just write ur password somewhere safe and dont tell anyone make it hard to find. but leave urself a note or something so ull remeber

Lol. I am the admin on my PC, and my mom and dad are basic user accounts.

But yeah try what ben said earlier.

Same here, but theres another account called admin which i dont know how to log into o_O I dont give me an option to and he has some different shizzle than me!

basically seeing as uve used ur 'administrator' account as an actual account ur stuffed as far as exploiting windows without any tools goes.

get urself a live copy of knoppix or another linux distro that uses ntfs and remove all the passwords for all accounts
