    Grungy! (no d :P)

Ok as you can see im pretty new to these forums .. As I can see my standard is no where near your ones so hey! :P

but i used to make them and this is what a have done ..

This is my sig (well old one&#33

Ok start with a basic pixel size. I used 400x100 pixels. ANd set the background to 'White'.

OK now you have the size. Push D to reset your Forground and Background.

    Go to: Filter>Render>Clouds.

Randomise to get the one you like or keep the default. Ok, Now you have a cloud bacground, kinda boring right? Now we add colour.

Push CTRL, ALT and U at the same time to bring up Hue and Saturation

    Check Colourise
    Hue- 207
    Saturation- 20
    Lightness- 7

Now you should have a nice light blue colour.

Ok, now select the paint brush tool and select the Dune Grass tool.

Now set the mode to colour burn, the brish size to about 20 and the opacity to 10.

Now Brush around the corner of the picture till you get a nice effect like my sig.

Now dublicate the background by hitting CTRL J

Select the colour burn tool and selet the pixels to 1 and the opacity to about 20.

Now make straight lines on the background. Hold shift and make a stright line, make it look fady. Look at mine to references.

Ok, now you have a nice effect. Dublicte the background again.

Now, go to File>New and make the pixels 3x3 and set the mode to 'Transparent'. Hit the zoom tool and Zool in the fullest. Now, take the pencil tool and select the pixels to '1'.

now make a line on the top and the left edge of the 3x3 document. so you have a Squar in the bootom left.

Now go to Edit>Define Pattern and name it 'tiles'.

Now go back to your original pic and select the 'Paint Bucket tooooool'

ATthe top slect the mode to pattern. Now hit the arrow on 'Pattern' and sect your pattern you saved. Now set the opacity to like 5 and click your image. Now you have a cool effect.

Ok Last part! This is long!!!!!!!!!& #33;!!!!!

Make a new layer and name it lines. Select the pencil andsize to 1 pixel and opacity to 100.

make a line along the bottem and the right, just off th border. so you have room to put something there. Now you made lines and click blending mode. Select outer glow and hit the opacity to 100 and the colour to white. Now select Inner glow and the colour to a light grew colour. and opacity to 100. Hit done.

Now you have a cool shiny line

    Ok Very Last! Bloody hell!

Dublicte the black ground once more. Select the Rectangle marquee tool and make a rectange on your 'shiny lines' so you have space to add something behind it.. Go to Select>Inverse and now its around the border. Hit CTRL and U and your the same hue and saturationa as the border but set the lightness to 30. Now it has a cool lightness thingy thing.

    Done, If its confusing!

Well done if you got it right!

I'm new to Brushes, and it doesn't seem this Dune Grass brush tool is a Photoshop CS standard... perhaps, post a link to it or the actual .ABR file?

In the list of brushes at the top left of the screen, scroll down about two thirds of the way down, and choose Dune Grass. Look out for a brush at size 112, and you'll find it.

Some one post there result :P
