    Hmm,, i like the way the colour comes out of its' eyes. But possibly work on the tones, they're a bit too harsh. Also he's not blended too well.

    Try some more white instead of blue, and a colour balance layer. But don't adjust the sliders too far, other wise you add overtones:P If that's a word.

    This could turn out quite nice, although it's a strange size.

    First the render doesnt look like anything, but then it "reshapes".

    Right , you're kinda getting there. You need more of a foreground , and background though. So make the stuff coming out of him, very light, and make the other stuff more dull / dark. But still blend it =)
