Real VNC

There's a nice little program called 'real VNC' and staff use it to monitor people at school. There is usually a little white icon on the desktop that turns black when you are being monitored. That icon is no longer there but staff are still using this program to spy on us. Does anyone here use this program and know how I can not be monitored or get round the filters.
Please tell me if you know anything. I'm dying to find out.
