Well it toke quite awhile. The photo is horrible. I wish I had a film studio, so I could take proper shots. Oh well, you get the basic idea from the photo, without the details.
I spent about 3 hours. I used oil paints, and the painting is still drying. I'm impacient to see your comments. Please try to guess what it means

Edit: i see it now lol....um it looks good but just a little bit plain maybe try adding some more details. Good job tho bfg keep it up.

Sorry not a big fan of this, it kinda looks very simple, almost vectorish. Try adding some more colors in the next one, like different shades of flames, in places where there should be lights and darks. Also, dont use to much of one color. You overpowered the whole painting with black, or the dark color, and it has no reflection of any part of it. Very flat. Sorry, i dont like it. Try it again?
Then again i dont know much of oil painting, ive done acrylic only.

I see what you mean. There actually is quite alot of shading in the flames, and ocean. The picture sucks. I can't really get a good photo of it.
I really wish I could. It looks much better in actual sight.
In all actuality, you kinda said the meaning of the whole painting when you said, "You overpowered the painting with the black".
It was meant to be that way.

Heh ill take your word for it!
When i took a closer look, i did see some shades in the flames, sorry for misposting.

im sorry, but i dont really like this
it just seems like a blob of blue, a blob of black, and some bad looking fire :P
luckly, i think i know how you can fix that!
*add more um...... realisticness to the fire by adding orange, yellow, and maybe a teeny bit of white to the red fire; and add orange and red to the yellow fire
*add some lighter and darker blue ripples/waves in the water
*if that big black blob is a cloud, add a few lines that are a shade lighter than the main color and that look like the upper edge of the cloud
And after looking at this, I think I know the main meaning! I think a big huge cloud is blocking the sun, and fire is in the ocean to give light! Im probally wrong though  .

Lol, silly BFG. You can't link to DeviantART images because their URLs change dynamically. Link to the deviation page instead.
