Work like this is really common. Anyways, i don't really like this one, the text is too strong, and too large. Also, the soldier (if that's what he is) is probably too smudged for this type of project.

i was kind hoping for some ideas to improve it

Maybe a dirty but very light background.. . and make the text smaller and lower the opacity lots - or change the placement

I'd love to see the soldier better, it looks like a nice image ^_^

Yeah if its a soldier its not totally evident at first blush
