I bought some 2.1ch speakers with a subwoofer the other day & the subwoofer doesnt work... So would that be a hardware or software problem?... I cant seem to find any drivers for it Help would be great

Make sure if there's a volume dial for the bass, and turn it up. Also make sure it's all setup according to the manual.

Hum. I believe. Try exchanging them. You may have gotten a dud.

This is a powered sub I assume. there should be an LED somewhere on it, plug it in and see if it lights. if not it's probably an electronic problem. Get a multi-meter and check the circuit board at various trouble spots.

I think returning it would be much easier, he said he bought recently. =P

I don't do "easier". I only do home made ghetto fixes.

I think it's pretty unusual for the speakers not to work, i don't think you're an idiot... but make sure that you read the instructions thoroughly before sending it back. I often miss a step that seems so simple and obvious.

Hmm.. I thought I had that problem too... I spent 2 weeks trying to figure out that problem, then I just figured out that I had a broken sound card. =P

Damn man that sucks, lol. I'm really into subwoofers and such (mainly for cars though, a bit larger too - I have 2 15" inches in mine ). I've gone through a few pairs after blowing them out.
