The mood of a winter's day
is one that is never much thought about.
Look about- all you see are bleak, faded colors.
All you see are shades of grey- smudged and running.
A cool, crisp morning- a cough and a hack. The clouds are seperated.
Half and half- half grey, half shades of blue.
What you need is of no use,
what you want is what you want.
One sunset- one blinding color of orange, or shades of purple and gold.
Clouds roll over, merge- grow, the sun vanishes.
what you need is of no use,
what you want is what you want.
Two hours- just two, to watch the city go from a bustling metropolis to a quiet show of lights.
Watch the lights brighten, change colors- go blurry from tears...
Unforseen complications and bad luck cause things to go 'otherwise'.
what I need is of no use.
What I want, is what I want.

No. Its not. And that is what makes it, what it is.

    I have problems.

Yes well, be that as it may.
    It does get hard sometimes.
    For me.

Well. There certainly is no I in team.

But there is an M. And an E

But this was never a team game.

Slowly proving my point, are you? My path is wrong, but there is no other path.
You have to make I - the key player. Of course, that requires shutting down your emotions. This way you don't get grinded from inside.

I trust it, you're ready to game it up with me, Paul?

    With respect, maniac

I still hate metaphorical speech too.

Maniac, my friend. Good to see you on the void.

I see the cons of your life. But I do see the pro's...

Then, Mr.Kenny, do you want to talk to me without metaphor's?

The pro's of my situation are evident, but they are nowhere near in numbers to those of yours.

I have no insight of your situation, but I could guess, given the time of month upon us.
You are young and resourceful, and you have a lot of time to figure things out.
I'm not worried for you, you'll get it right, I know it.

I see a lot more pro's in you than in myself.
However, if I was back in that time, I'd probably do things exactly like I did before.

    I'd go for the kill.

    ....

Metaphors. As powerful as they can be, maybe even the most powerful way to relate to a person's conscious mind, they do not have the power to reach into the subconscious. Being elements of a vague world of multiple enterpretations, they cannot accomplish what direct messages can. A fist is the strongest metaphor as far as a wall is concerned. The way to get to the man, is to influence one subconsciously. And the only way to that is... using force and planting fear.
