When you use the circular marquee tool.
Hold shift, release click, then release shift and right click, select inverse... delete. Then spherize 2 times =)

It's quite nice, i think a bright green ((realistic looking)) planet woulda looked better, to fit in with the 'happy' colours . The starfield looks nice all lit up, but i think the Lens Flare woulda looked better inbetween the crack in the clouds ^_^ -> That's just me though.

I think that the plane is too big, and it's situated too high up also. Partially cover it with clouds if you're gonna have it that high up ^_^

the white glow on the side of the planet looks a little off, and yeah too many stars, but otherwise i think it looks pretty nice.

Cut the blue sky out, have the space coming from clouds and it would look miles better >.<

Well, I like the stars, but planet doesn't fit. Maybe try different color and don't apply it with a filter. I think you should concentrate on the clouds and the transition to cosmos. I don't like the plane. Get him out :P
