So, i was in the middle of doing some art, left my computer on while i went downstairs. The computer had reset itself by the time i came back and a error window had popped up saying "The system has recovered from a serious error"
Any idea what this could be?

O.o
Was it rendering anything?

I assume you're running windows, which means it could have been anything from the air humidity, time of day, or the computers reaction to how Dr. Luca was portraied in a recent ER episode.

Damn Dr. Luca... well really, an old PC I had cut out when it started heating up like a mother.

There's an easy way to check for heat problems. just load up a video game like Doom3 or etc. play it for an hour...if the computer doesn't reset it's probably not a heat issue. If the computer beeps, then just shuts off completely, then it is a heat problem...simple.

I doubt it was a heat issue - i was preveiwing in tg, and nothing else was running. Plus my stuff aint that good, so it shouldnt need like mega cooling
Im gettin a new pc soon so

meh, i was running an AMD XP 2400+ and it would overheat constantly, for no reason. just idiling and it would shut down. but yeah, if you bought the computer through a manufacturer heat probably isn't your problem.
