Alright, this isn't finished yet, but I need someone to look over the coding and figure out why it's not working properly in FireFox. I've been staring at it for 3 days, and I think that's the problem. I just can't make it out anymore, and I really don't want to have to start from scratch again.

How it should look (and does look in IE)

Here's the link, looks fine in IE no so much in FF. www.cavanaughclan.com/mathletics

Note: this isn't for mathletics.com it's for mathletics.biz, but they don't have a working logo yet so...yeah, don't go commenting to mathletics.com about it.

I think it flows well, and they should use your logo. It works well together with the layout. The multiple colors make my eyes look throughout the whole page, and is very easy on the eyes.

The document icon on the left works alot better with text beside it, looked strange without the text there.

    Thumbs up from me!

It is now completely fixed, everything is working properly and even better than before. Thanks to the guys at Freenode #css. I will add the content later.

why the latin? i once used a downloaded web template for my international award project, and it had latin in the content box too...
    just curious.

that's the second time i've been asked that. it's called Lorem Ipsum text, it's filler. It's generated randomly (except the words Lorem Ipsum Dolor Sit Amet) and has been used for literally hundreds of years as the standard filler for designers and printers.

It's like lesson #1 in design school.

I always get asked that

    As for the actual template:
I think overall its not bad looking, but it does not flow very well, i dont know if thats because there are parts missing or the fact that are are a number of colours there that do not mix well such as the greens and purples. I also think it would look better with some sort of border or background at the sides, and then centre the layout. Or maybe do the same tot he right as you have to the left with that grey border.

If you could fix it up and spend some more time on it I think it would be much better.

    Keep it up

    1) The colors are based on a Single complimentary Double Adjacent Color Harmony. They are, in fact, proven to "flow well" together.

    2) You don't center align a business layout for 2 reasons. A) It makes the content appear thin and B) It's instability in varying window sizes is detracting to viewers. You use center align for content that moves down and ONLY down, like a blog, or when you have very little content and want it to appear more blocked out.

but thank you for the input.

I like the way you've used contrasting colours, purple and green. But only around the content, draws your eyes in.
Overall it's nice, the photo adds alot to it. Makes it seem more 'clean' and alot easier on the eyes... photo is a break from lots of text
