Ok so i'm just looking through these clashing opinions topics, and i was wondering how stupid most of them are.. cannabis, god music (especially music) and it occured to me all of these subjects what's right or wrong, what people do, how people are affected so on and so forth. Sifting through i have noticed most of these arguements boil down to one factor, it's what people like and there way of going about things and we all have different views no matter what everyone has a different opinion on the matter whether it be a miniscule difference, or in most cases a very large one. So if these arguements are caused by differences, individuality if you like, and yet most people encourage individuality, we are infact fighting against individuality by causing arguements and such. And this sole choice, this divine eqaulity in every person is what makes us people..

... but why is it we fight it?

.. why is it people choose to kill other people?

...why is it we choose low fat or high fat content margerine on our sandwiches?

It's because as human beings we have a choice.. and we choose to do so.. so with this choice we argue? you use your actions, your ability to make a difference, to just argue and flutter away time like it was infinate, but we don't know that yet .. is why we argue because we're unsure?, why we don't know how long we have left? so we wait it out in our minds frightened? it's this uncertainty which gives us freedom and so we use this freedom to argue? .. you could even argue against me on this by saying well if we have a choice we choose to put our views across, maybe not to cause anything but to let people know? but then if your views are different to others.. there's no way you can change it.. after all views are opinions, and opinions arn't facts.. and therefore opinions can't be proven.. in effect there's no reason why opinions should be broadcasted across newspapers and on the television and on giant billboards which clutter our world on your way to work, these cluttering billboards which air our views? so as humans our views are cluttering the world.. as humans... we.. are cluttering the world .. with mess and the inability to see past our own thoughts, maybe up your head you might.. but in your heart, deep down.. you think otherwise. If it's humans who are making this world a mess.. do you ever stop and wonder.. why?, why are we here? what is the sole purpose of our existance? why do we insist in ruining this world in all is splendor? with pathetic arguements which mean nothing in comparison to the world... are we a malfunctioning society, who's mutated evolution has caused us to convey things which mean nothing and ruin that which means everything.. if we're a mutation then why did this happen? if there was a god, why did he mean for us to do such things we do.. if this is his plan why is it we have people argue against keeping the world clean and freee from pollution who are infact people of religion? people who say god wants this place clean.. but why would he want it clean if we do not keep it a clean world... i guess my big question is why do we argue?

We argue to grow. Through debate and argument, that is where we form our own opinions and judgements. Arguments are an exchange of views sure, but if each view has logical and supporting evidence, it allows us to see things, not as black and white, but as shades of grey.
We walk away knowing more, and with a more open mind. It allows us to expand intellectually.

You can't expect a person to totally change their opinions and no one can 'win' an argument, but people should walk away from an argument knowing that there is another point of view that has equal merit to their own, and maybe modify their opinion based on what was discussed.

We do NOT fight against individuality by debating, quite the contrary. It is individuality at work.

The world is such a terrible place right now. There is no need for war no need for violence, but there will always be both war and violence. Both are started by different views on things and opinions. I feel the world will always be this way and it will be its downfall.
    This is me.

People always want to be right, if they didnt it would be one boring, undeveloped world.

conflict of opinion is the starting point of many arguments, and arguments are the starting points of fights... it'd be wrong if it didn't happen. belief is powerful.

Well the topic title is "people" so I'm going to talk about my opinion on people.

I HATE PEOPLE! I hate the way everybody is trying to create a fake image to get into a socially classed group, I hate the way people try to create a fake image to stay out of a socially classed group.

I hate the way everyone nowadays has to be labled as a "chav" or an "emo" or a "grunger". I hate the way these so called "chavs" get enjoy other peoples suffering and vandalism. I hate the way these so called "emos" are so fake, they way they say "I dont care what people think" when actually their whole lifestyle is about what other people think. If nobody cared what they did then they would die.

I hate the way that you will be put into one of these groups simply because of your musical taste. I hate the way that there is some sort of conflict between these classes all caused by clothing style and musical taste.

I hate the way people are labled as "geeks" simply because they enjoy using a computer.

I hate the way that some of these groups think that they are not a group and that they are the ones who are individuals, when in fact they are creating a group themselves.

I hate they way that people are stupid enough to actually beleive the fake images these people are creating over themselves.

    PEOPLE SUCK!

Its natural instict to view people, put them in groups in your mind. You have people you are close to, people you are not close to. People you like, people you hate. Everybody views people differently.

Yeah people are often viewed upon by their dress sense/music taste but what else would happen? everybody would be different, friends would have nothing in common, nothing to talk about, nothing to relate to and life would be very boring.

Say you got what you want and people were not labeled (sp?) you would end up with rockers hanging with chavs, seen as though they have totally different views they would disagree a lot and end up arguing a lot. Yeah wouldnt that be great?

And it is stereotypical but music taste often defines a person, sure its not true in every case but different groups of friends have the same taste of music, same taste in clothing etc. And you can often tell what people are like by how they act, their clothing etc. If i saw somebody walking down the street dressed as a goth, i would think 'weirdo' mainly because they dress totally different to me and wearing stuff with chains/nails etc in seems totally weird to me. And im sure they would think the same about me with hoodies etc.
And people act the way they do mainly do to their friends so they can fit in. If all your friends dress like a goth you wouldn't go out with those dressed as a cahv or you would feel odd, if your friends were bricking some windows most likely you would stick around or join in so you fit in.

and you obviously label people, you labeld chavs as vandalising and enjoying suffering, i would be classed as a chav i dont vandalise often and dont enjoy people suffering.

Me thinks thats badly put etc. but it makes sense haha

And as for the computers = geek thing. Its how society has changed, if you are on the PC a lot, it means you are not out, which means you are most likely to not be with friends, if you dont see friends alot people automatically think you dont have many, people without many friends are normally weird around other people because they are not used to interacting with people expect friends so they would be nervous and seem weird. Supose geek is just a word for that. And that is not really true, i am either out or on the PC i dont watch TV or anything else inside the house so i am on the PC like 12hours a day if i am not out, but other days i am out for 12hours with friends, its about not going out with friends more than being on the PC a lot.

So no people do not suck, its how you view them that sucks.

Ermm... SgtSwabs. People often only get labelled, deal with it. Labelling is only to do with clothing anyways, i know people like you and no offense, they just try and be individual and are too ignorant to care what anyone else says or does. Don't try and be above everyone else, that's just wrong. And WHO ACTUALLY CARES if you are labelled, aslong as you know the personality is cool it really doesn't matter... i think you just need to grow up man, or when your circle of friends grows up and expands, you'll realise that clothes and music aren't the basis of life.

I hate the way these so called "chavs" get enjoy other peoples suffering and vandalism
And you just used a label.

So anyone in tracksuit bottoms is likely to be a vandal, yet someone wearing a studded belt, with a spiked up mohawk, isn't? yeah.. whatever man. grow up :|
