I'm trying to take some avi's that I have and put them onto a DVD, to be played on a DVD player. Anyone know a good FREE program to burn dvd's?

ahh... i thought u would know better... but anyways, u need a DVD burner to write DVDs. u get nero with it IF you buy a drive that gives it with it. i got nero with mine. the one i bought was a cheap one but its pretty good. i bought it for $179.99 plus like $50 rebate. mine is of I/O Magic, it also reads DVDs. i hope this helped .

I dont have a DVD burner on my comp but once for a project I firewired the footage from premiere to my camera and recorded it via composite cables to a DVD Player/Burner on my T.V.

Please, how dumb do you think i am. Of course I have a DVD burner. It came with Sonic recorder, not Nero. The software gave me tons of problems so I just uninstalled it, and used a regular CD burner application. Since I don't usually burn DVD's it wasn't a problem until now.
I'm just looking for good software that can decode DivX and Vxid movies and burn them as a video onto a DVD. I know there's some out there, but the ones i've tried in the past sucked. I need something good.

ah, i'd love to know about this if any solutions arise also. I don't have a dvd burner, but our school's video club computers all do!!!!!!1 :-p. I have a CRAPLOAD of anime i would love to watch full screen, though it's horribly pixellated at that resolution.
Who gives a damn though?
