my school is looking for designs for next years yearbook, the theme is carpe diem, this is my submission so far, i'll probably work on it some more, as i have until friday the 27th to submit it.
and yes i know the quality looks a little low, i'm working on that

C+C please

(note: from right to left it's the back, the spine, and then the cover. so how you would see if you opened it up flat)

Don't make the text tranlucent, and it looks good.
Tell me if they take it

i agree with this; make the text a little larger and opaque; imo it would stand out more and compliment the silhouette render.
great work

I like this alot, it looks so good in the thumbnail and so blurry in the actual picture. I think an image with open outsretched hands would look better then the one you have, where the guy is kinda pinching the thing.. a render won't be too hard to find for that. The bg looks nice, i actually prefer the colours you chose, fits well with the.. fractal?

If you used a brush for that fractal ... then that's the problem =| ... try making one in apophysis
http://www.apophysis.org/downloads.html
^_^ ... if you did make it in apophysis render it bigger / better quality

um it's actually a photograph of someone standing in front of a sunset...

but i'll see if i can make the hands open insted of pinching

and as for the bluryness, neatimage did wonders for that
