So I've been telling myself for the past year or so that I would get a new graphics card, and I haven't gotten one yet. I don't know too much about this subject, so I'd appreciate any help.
I'm looking for a card that is:
Good for gaming
PCI express
$100-200 USD
^I know that won't get me the best card, but that's my limit.

I've hear the gefore 7600GT is nice for its price which is less than 200, I assume that is what most people will tell you.
This is me.

Ermm any Nvidia card ... higher number = better.
6800, 6800GT, 6800Ultra, 7600, 7600GT, 7600Ultra... 7800..... 7900 ( i think 7900 anyways ) :P

Nah for some reason that newest one is called the 7950 not 7900 :S. You can get a Nvidia GeForce 6800GS (for some reason the stopped making GTs) for a decent price and it is a very very nice card. Would be able to play most new games on highest settings. I have also overclocked mine so that it has very similiar power too the 7800.

I@m getting a 6800 ... but i think my pc is AGP so i dunno.. but still it'll run well And it's only around £120

Thanks for all the advice so far! I'm leaning towards the 6800, but will make my final decision tomorrow.

Yeap, these guys gave you the pretty good basic information. Although, try to stay to main brands, like EVGA, PNY, XFX, BFG(lol).

Mine is AGPx8 too, there isn't too much of a difference between AGPx8 and PCI. SLI is where the real increase in speed is.

WHAT?!!?
Theres a HUGE speed difference between pci x16 and APGx8.
Graphics Standards Possible Bandwidth
16-bit ISA 16MB/s
EISA 32MB/s
VLB 132MB/s
PCI 132MB/s
AGP 1x 264MB/s
AGP 2x 528MB/s
AGP 4x 1056MB/s
AGP 8x 2112MB/s
PCIe x1 500MB/s (Single Data Lane - Both Directions)
PCIe x2 1000MB/s (Dual Data Lane - Both Directions)
PCIe x4 2000MB/s (Quadruple Data Lane - Both Directions)
PCIe x8 4000MB/s (Eight Data Lane - Both Directions)
PCIe x12 6000MB/s (Twelve Data Lane - Both Directions)
PCIe x16 8000MB/s (4000MB/s Per Direction (Two Directions))
Sorry if I seemed a little, uh, mad or such. =)
Didn't mean to offend.

Avoid nvidia, radeon is so much better dynamically.. x1900 if you're willing to run up to $500 but try something like This
