Counterstrike problem

Everything is black when i log into a server or the test thing, except the HUD any suggestions?

I can't see any models or anything just the text and the HUD ? i mean i get a quick flash of the map at the beginning then it goes off it isn't the brightness

I suggest going here. Id be willing to be they can most easily help you. They're cool. I play CS all the time and have been for 2+ years but havnt come across this.

cheers bro, hook me up sometime on msn or xfire and we can scrim.. i need to rebuy a new copy since i'm using my bros account because mine went bad

Did it work before hand or is it the first time you used it on this comp or something?

worked before but i got it to work now, turned out my new directx were ballsing up and i couldn't reinstall them so had to mess around with it..
