DVD converters

Hey, I was wanting to convert DVD files into avi or wmv files. Is there a way to do that?. I ripped a DVD on my PC but it's in .VOB .BUP, and .IFO files so I can't read them. I would like to make a video clip from this movie so if you know a program that can read that directly from the DVD formats that would be good but I also would like a converter if anyone knows one.

you could use this program

DVD Riper

or just do a search on google with DVD to Divx, or DVD Riper, or DVD to AVI.

and you should find lots and lots of programs. if you want to edit the Movie, use Cinelerra (Linux) or Final Cut (Mac) or MainActor (Linux). these are pretty nice programs
