AKGDC: A second stab...
I nixed the "portal" look of the first AKGDC.
Tell me what you think of this version.
I know that it looks odd in Internet Explorer, that will be taken care of.
Clicky click.

wow nice layout, i just think that the welcome window is lil bit too big, and thoes lates thingies should be in row with the rest of those boxes on that side, except that its pretty good
-
Ok, give me a second and I'll adjust that...

There we go.
The welcome window will be changed later :P
Better?

I like this one alot alot better than the first. The only thing i'm not feelin is the banner, and the Welcome thang
-
WAY too much text. I didn't know what to look at, sorry but it reminded me of one of those advert sites... but, i like the colours and layout , just hard one the eyes
-
Hmmm well this is just a prototype for the Home page. The content pages only have 2 columns rather than three.
What is wrong with the banner?
I'll try to make the center column more obvious... And do something about the Welcome image...

The thing that stands out the most to me is the padding along the right side of the "news" column. it's too close to the third column. even it out. I also agree about the amount of text on there. If you have something important to say, say it. Don't clutter your space because it will only make people leave. I really enjoy the header/menu and navigation, though. I'm just interested to see what footer you'll be putting in there.

Thats quite a nice site design, its a bit messy in places though, for example the welcome box with gradient fill doesnt go at all. You should have a linear gradient going from light to dark (top to bottom) and then have the text in a light shade of gray or white.

It's looking good. Keep it up!
