Erm. It doesn't look finished to me, that just looksl ike the start of the painting... did you just...stop? :| Anyways, don't be afraid to use alot of light, i usually use loads of light and then shadows later, and also, you might want to get rid of the lines. This looks very flat, and the hair just kinda looks strange to me... try some speedpaintings, it'll probably be easier

They're done really quick and use blocky colours, lighting and shadows to show what the image is. Just basically, using fairly big brushes in a short amount of time. Like.. anything under 2 hours could be considered a speed painting realleh

To me it looks like, you only gave 50% of your efforts. This is a like a mix between vector, and painting. Those two don't go together to well. Try defining the shapes with vector, or painting. Also, try to make it your best peiece ever.

Always commit 100% to each piece.

    Keep working man!

And. It's not a speedpainting. You didni't intend it to be, it isn't the style of a speed painting. It's just a "small peice" that didn't take very long.. sorry... i'm gonna post a peice in the minute. the bottom half, is what a speed painting *should* look like. I say should but i don't know, i've seen pro artists do brilliant speedpaintings

Its not even a painting Use of pen tool rules that out. muah. Speed paints tend to be spontaneous, don't plan anything, let an idea cross your mind and brush it on fast.
