Hello World
Hello, found this crazy place looking up tutorials like a maddman and got linked here at least 20 different times. One hell of a void. I hope to learn alot about photoshop while visiting here. I'm 17 and fairly new to the all that is Photoshop.
Whats a good sig tut to fill my empty space?

Empty space for sig

heyyy. welcome to the Void. your story is just like mine. found this place looking to learn some more about photoshop...and well i have learned more than i ever expected.
as far as the sig goes, what kinda stuff are you into? for me personally, i like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and that's why I have the sig i do... :D
i have learned this about the people here in the Void. they want you to learn by doing (tutorials, examples, etc.) they aren't going to do all the work for you. so if your looking for someone to make you a sig, don't bother asking. (been there done that, got the t-shirt...) it takes some time, and i know it's frustrating as hell, but you'll get the hang of it. hey, just look at it this way, not everyone can be as good as me... :D
:EDIT:
This is one of my FAVORITE signature tut's in all of Void. :D (Granite, I haven't seen them all) it's an extremely good tut on sig making.

You can get some gooood Photoshop brushes Here (http://browse.deviantart.com/resourc...ons/psbrushes/) I recommend becoming a member at deviantart.com they have tons of stock photos, brushes, backgrounds, actions, whatever you're looking for, they have it.

Yeah posting what I'm into is probly a good idea. . .I've lattly come across alot of "grunge" sigs and brushes but dont really know how to apply them properly, mine often come out chunky or blocky. It's a neat effect but its not what I want, it might be my brush's but you cant change grunge much^^. I think its mainly my technics and I just can't brush to save my life.
This is the effect I wanted. . . http://www.codedfx.com/tutorials/fullsig.jpg
This is what I got. . .

This is what i made with what i got.

so far that's a good start! i know what you mean about the brushes. let me show you a little something i did with my grunge brushes...

I simply took about 15 different brushes that i liked (i have about 1k brushes total...) and switched the color between black and white and brushed until i was happy. i generally like to use a large canvas for my backgrounds, that way i have a large selection of areas to choose from...
just from that background i managed to get a sig out of it already!

:EDIT:
Another thing you want to try is coloruing the background. you simply do that by selecting your background layer. That's the layer with the brushed background, not the layer that literally says "Background" (though they may be on the same one, i tend to put my brushed background on a seperate layer.) But anyways...back to the point...click on the brushed background layer and either go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Color Balance or you can click the half circle at the bottom of your layers pallette. Just screw around with the colors and you'll get something you like... good luck and keep up the good work!

There's more to it than brushing though. Take a look at my sig, not a single brushed used. I'm a big fan of minimalism.
If you do want to continue with brushing, you need to experiment with a lot of things until you get something you like. Use different brushes, different layers, different blending modes, different colors, ect. It all comes with practice. Keep at it, and you'll learn a lot.

DeviantART helped a ton with the brushes that i lacked, thanks much for the tip tis greatly appreciation. I'll post a sig in the sig section next time cuz i know it will be then worthy, and thank you vary much for the help on the side again!

Welcome. Soon enough you'll be able to expand beyond tutorials, create your own style and even your own brushes.
