You need to put the brushes in the correct folder, i aint sure what folder it is for PS7.

And then close photoshop if its open and open it again.

It's a folder called Presets. In this folder, you'll find a folder called Brushes. Put the brushes in that folder.

yap, what HP said. its in Adobe>Photoshop 7.0>Presets>Brushes. extract the brush file to Brushes. then, in PS7, click the brush tool, open the brush pallete, click the arrow on the top right hand corner, and all the brushes should be in that drop down. it took me forever to find that out, dont feel bad (and i still use PS7).

and that should be in C:\prorgam files\adobe\photoshop 7.0\presets\brushes

Not sure about the photoshop 7.0 bit but it should be something like that if it isn't that.

Is it the same thing in terms of Photoshop CS2 though? I'm working on a Mac as well, so will that effect how I install brushes on to the computer?

Loading ALL new brushes into the presets folder makes Photoshop very "heavy" and slow after some time. So I keep a file outside of PS where I put in all the goodies I find but don't use regularly.

When wanting to use one of those (e.g. brushes) I just open my PS normally, go to the brushes options .... and there click on the little black arrow to the right. A menu will roll down and from there I can still choose "load brushes" and there I can specify exactly from which folder I would like to load which brush.

Hope that was 'understandable' and clarifying. If not, just ask once more, and I will explain further.
    Kind regards,
