    Default Switching to a Apple.

After having PCs for my entire life, I think its about time for me to try an Apple. I just ordered the following computer:

    Mac Pro
    • Two 2.66GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon
    • 2GB (4 x 512MB) ram
    • 250GB 7200-rpm Serial ATA 3Gb/s
    • NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 256MB (single-link DVI/dual-link DVI)
    • Apple Cinema HD Display (23" flat panel)
    • One 16x SuperDrive
    • Both Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and AirPort Extreme
    • Apple Wireless Keyboard and Apple wireless Mighty Mouse - U.S. English
    • Mac OS X - U.S. English
Can't Wait =). What are your opinions on Apples?

Apple is very stylish I've never had an Apple computer, but I like their design. Their iPods battery life would be better though ehehhee

well.. i just have a PC (with linux) :P, and a Mac G5 dual core (before they went with Intel) and i prefere my PC, mac is very stylish, but it is a little unstable, sometimes when im working on photoshop, and hit F12, it crashes :S... i also use Linux inside my OSX :P

Mac were good computers, but i dont know now, since they are with intel :S, they were good, cause their technology, now that they switch to intel, they took a step back (in my opinion)

anyway... mac is way better than windows :P

    your apple cinema rocks!!!!

I would have ordered, that exact machine, but in PC form.

Maybe load linux on the mac?

I realllly dislike apple. There's no third party software for macs! =P

    I think you made a bad decision/

Yea it sucks that Apple is so proprietary, but thats probably why many say OS X runs so flawlessly on Apple computers. Only one platform for the developers to focus on.

Linux is great cause it is so flexible, since it was developed on the network. Able to adapt to any architecture.

I don't think it's a bad decision, give Apple a shot My next laptop will probably be an Apple. Can't form bad opinions since I've never tried it.

I never get into discussions about macs and PCs. Some kid was trying to tell me how great macs are and to me theyre both just computers, I could care less. As long as I can play games, internet, and Word or something similar im fine.
    This is me.

    Macs should burn in hell!

I mean for real, any serious computer tech will tell you go PC.

Dosen't matter on the OS you use to me personally, I just hate how Macs can only use mostly Mac hardware. Kinda bullshit =P

Remember this is a graphic design forum, not a computer tech forum. Mac's are more than effective for design.
