Little background on this. A pretty damn long time ago, i saw him post a comment on someone's art. Saw in his sig to contact him for a collab, so i checked out his aim and stuff and sent him a message. Things were going smoothly that first day, and i had already started to render the file. Didn't know it was gunna take that long! At like 400 hours, the power went out and the render was lost. I redid it, and let it render for two weeks straight while i was at camp on high priority. STILL didn't finish. I got home to a frozen computer! Fast forward another month, and i finally decide to see what the hell was taking soooo damn long.

Big thanks to for the suggestion on my render settings. He solved the problem in about five minutes, and it took only an hour to render the final render.


Sent it over to and then he just went wild with it. Totally didn't know what to expect, and i was floored when i saw it. It took about 3 or 4 days to get the final image as you now see it.

I get a file not found page when I try the diviantart pages but I do get to see your render.

You have a great outcome, reminds me of superman returns and the ground coming out of the water :P.

Though I would say the transitions between the water and the planet are a bit to drastic. Also maybe need so stars around it, it looks a bit blank.

Where near the middle of the lighting, in the water it looks like there's bloches of shapes just randomly put there. While it may not be intended that way I think it would look beter without the.

Other than that nice work, you really capture depth. The left part of the render that you hve the ring going around, looks like a sail boat when you see this on a white background :P.
