    Default WW1 trip pics

Yeah basically my schools history pupils (inluding me) went on a history trip visiting the battlefields of WW1 in Belgium and France. I took "the little camera" with me and these are some of the shots I took with it. Will post some more later probably, just some snaps taken with my little 5 megepixel digital camera.

What memorial sites did you go to, did you go to the one where they left the 2 german machine bunkers in place, with the graves around them? >.< My history teacher had a load of pics of that one, i can't remember what it's called. It's one of the bigger ones i think...

And i like them, i think the statue one should have been centered and aligned a bit better, and the sun takes up a little toooo much of the last one. The grave one is pretty nice, but a different focus might have helped, and the first one is lush, you got any pics of just that sky, i love skys... perty clouds, mmm yeah

I like the way the clouds come out from behind the statue and damn.. france is just beautiful, and Northern france is the less beautiful part, yet it's still awesome looking

Cool thanks for replying, I was thinking the same about the last too. oh and here is a northern france sky shot I took, as you requested ^^

And to answer your question we mainly went to the cemetarys around Yperes or "wipers" as the brits called it back then. Pashendaale and stuff. Kinda moving stuff really...the sheer amount of dead/missing is horrendous.

:O good idea! A cemetary is a very silent, earie place so I suppose it would be in the guidlines.

Wow good pictures man, the first one is really good with the facelessness. And the gravestone is really sad, but then the flower is so bright and happy, great contrast. The last two could be better, but arent bad. The statue could have been from a better angle, and the building has that sunlight on the right side which kind of ruins it a little.

First one's amazing. Love how it's hard to tell that they're statues because they're entirely obscured by the shadows. May look better desaturated to fit the mood though.
