This is merely an observation, but your art seems to lack that creative spark that it used to have. Before, your influence was great on all of your pieces and the color were so vivid, but it seems like it's all cannabis or shrooms here.
No offense, but, what happened?

Creativity is in the mind or the eye. Just because your eye doesnt see my creativity isn't means to deem it "cannabis or mushrooms" Christ, those things are a much of a reality of sobriety why can't you fathom that. Besides that though, No I was not stoned, No I was not on mushroom's these ideas come from a love for film actually, Darren Aronofsky's work in particular, its trying to conceive touch, with sound, with action, with material feel. Into a picture, its more about aesthetics, it's about feelings and capturing time. Capturing ideas.
Listing to a record, the act of turning the dial so absolute to us, but in reality millions of things are happening, the neurons telling us to contract a muscle. Our brain deciding and working on memory to convey which way to turn the knob. The vibration of particles and vibration of the record player emitting electronic happiness. Emotions captured in grooves. Increasing this with a simple movement of muscle and thought.
I would assume, I use that word loosely because i fear assumptions lead to negativity.. I would assume some of the older member's here to respect that I would know a little something about putting meaning into my art, and many things in general..
Edit: and it's not my fault if you've never had a love for vinyl or the electric styling of Mr. Eric Clapton. I do.

misunderstood me man, i said fuck off because he deemed it as pot or mushrooms, like I'm a damn crack head or something. that pisses me off.

top on is nice mate, interesting colors.. would have liked to see more though (colors)... the grain seems to add alot to it.. makes it feel much more like its vibrating and giving off much of the sound it suggests... interesting concepts... but the bottom one confuses me .. did you take the photo or manip it a bit? since i dont see much added to it... info?

first one is mostly photoshoped.
second one is Wheels of fire; cream. On my record player, nothing really changed but the colors, the original is upside down, but this way you can read the record.
i don't mind if you guys don't like what i make, iv had a lot of people either hate it or love it in the past. Just don't give me some bad karma shit and call me a druggie. If you understood anything i ever meant with cannabis it's purely spiritual. meh i don;t need to get into it. its just something i hold faith in, don't bring people down on their faiths and beliefs man.
trust me, if it was cannabis or mushroom this would me much better most likely.

I'm not attacking you dude, so please don't get defensive. I'm just saying that before your art was more psychadelic and colorful in nature, the stereotypical view of that kinda stuff.
I love clapton, but not the crappy pop stuff. Go in my room and you'll find two clapton posters along with his Ridin With the King album.
I was referring to your earlier yearbook art and the telegram sam art. Last time i checked, i was allowed to critique pieces honestly.
-
lol i feel ya not much into pot nemore.. but i was a lot more creative and more of a thinker... but yea u hsould just ignore his comment.. i kno what u mean though.. but yea i agreee with him ur year book shit was great.. how'd that work out by the way

your post was not critique, it was a direct insult to him, saying "this isn't as good as your other works, why did you do this differently." is much like saying "this isn't up to your standards, try harder, i don't care just make it look like your old art and ill be happy" you just used someone gentler words. You have to learn to give decent critique, that was a post critiquing him as an artist, not the art itself; try posting again with legitimate critique. Respect the artist. Who knows, maybe Justin wanted to do somthing different for a change, and you just go and post that? What an interesting mind you have.
