The third one is the best by far. The other ones are soooo common.

    Specifically critiquing the 3rd layout:

Change the body font to times new roman, Georgia, etc. A serif font that is flowing. The rigidity of the sans-serif font you're using completely conflicts with the flowing script you use in the images.

The body content lacks some structure. My eyes just wander around without stopping anywhere or following any implied lines.

Well, I'm at work so that's all that I have time for right now.

Yeah, third's the best for the same reasons. Agreed about changing sans-serif to serif. Serif fonts have 'tails' at then ends of the letters (compare serif times new roman with sans-serif arial, for example).

The easy way out would be to say yes, it's just alot of sentences. And then you'd say that they need all that content. In reality the problem is in the structuring. There's no definition between sections, no indentation to speak of, and very little in the way of accentuating important information. It doesn't need more flashy images, it just needs structure.

well i meant common as in. box to the left for navigation, box in the middle for content, box on the right for advertising, box on top for a picture and possibly redundant navigation, and box at the bottom for other information.

    it's a common layout style.

the look, the style of the images are also pretty generic. but i think you're missing the point. a design should be fresh, crisp, easy to navigate but not old hat. you've basically stuck to the safe road, which isn't what design is all about. you've got to break out and do something noticeable not blend in to the background.

which is why i liked the third one, it's unique and clean. but it still lacks some basic structure in the body content.
