Wow. I really really really REALLY like that photo.
And if you ask why my answer will be I have no clue.
But seriously, that's a fantastic picture.

I don't like the contrast and there's nothing to focus on. If we could read what was written there, it would look a lot better in my opinion, but I guess it wouldn't really be "the space between" if we could focus on the writting on the wall.

well, the contrast is a matter of personal opinion. I like a heavy contrast and muted color scheme. It's just my style.

If you follow the implined lines, you will found the focal point is the bright white "blast". Kind of abnormal, I suppose, to have white space as a focal point. But it's fighting for the feeling i was trying to portray.

The pipe in the far bottom and the drainpipe the right steals the attention way too much. The composition doesn't work at all for me, and the contrast seems to be pretty overdone and not only lowers the ammount of detail, but also the image quality. Contrast is always good, I also want to achieve contrast in my photos, but overdoing it feels just like you're trying to hide flaws in the image.

I don't like it very much, but if you think it's your style, then keep at it and maybe it will evolve into something unique and interesting.
