Manip

Ok So i haven't used photoshop since my last peice a few months ago really. ( found on http://supercrofty.deviantart.com ) . I thought i would try a relatively peice to see if i could still do ANYTHING at all. I intended to do a dark urban type manip... but as i tend to do, saw an image, and had an idea for it. This later on changed and i incorporated the globe ( very cliche, i know ).

I know that the text placement is awful, the atmosphere looks out of place, the lighting isn't perfect, and the colours could be improved on the decaying areas of the flower ( the decay itself could also be improved ). but... I wanted to keep it quick.

I'm not sure how long i spent. I'm guessing around a hour.

For the darker one i added a colder / blue adjustment layer. Red and bright layer for the lighter image.

Which one do you prefer?

Erm... also, the stuff on the leaves, represents the deteorating state of the Earth, or the danger it ( possibly, global warming etc etc etc ) is in...

I wrote too much.

But i don't care.

ME LOVES IT!!!!
Prefere the darker one, it gives the 'world' (i think it is??) a larger presence, Cant find much wrong with it i just aint to keen on the text.

Very good, the dark one has best light so go with that! Get rid of the text though. Can't see why it's even there? :S

I definitely agree with the others on the darker one.
I love how you did the light. Very calm and subtle.

yes the dark one, and i don't know if you'll understand what i mean by this.. but the feeling of the picture itself.. there's this whispering mystery about it being so dark and then in the moonlight i suppose, then a gentle glow from the flower.

Use a font which reflect this, and thinking about the words i've highlighted.. but yeah go with that, nice work also
