the coloring is ok, blending is missing. you could use some effects so make wolverine "cut" the background with his razors or something like that. now it looks a bit lifeless, static and flat to me. guess you can do better. your first one was better imho.

The BG is deffinatly not the problem, Its the quality of the stock, and how its lacking effects. Find a higher quality one and apply some blurring and blending and this could be a sig full of life
