actionscript to make shape lots in random sizes

dunno if this is the right board but:

basically the title. can it be done? how do i do it?

i have 4 colours in mind and i want a custom shape (that i have defined) to be put all over my canvas in different sizes, all keeping in proportion.

anyone know how i do it?
