Anyone know of any free -> Antivirus software... spyware blockers, etc. I just thought it'd be helpful to have a thread full of it. If you're posting try to stay on topic aswell....

I have this, ad-aware, and they are both very thorough programs that work well. The problem is when you get a trojan, like I did before I reformatted. Damn those bastards.. Anyways, it's good to have a multitude of programs to detect spyware, because more objects might be recognized on different programs. For example, I have a powerful program called HijackThis that works very fast, and identifies many threats to your privacy, and browser hijack attempts. You need to know what you are deleting with it though, it finds things that might be necesary for certain other things to run.
