ImageReady Text
I've just started using ImageReady today,
I'm not completely foreign to how some of it works since I use PS daily. But I do have a problem
I have a bit of text that will fade in and then out, right?
So after it gets done fading out, I would like a different piece of text to come after that.
But how can I achieve this? I tried making a new text layer, but if it's in the area the previous text was in, it goes back to that layer.
We've all seen this of course, where the background stays the same but the text changes. That's what I want
I'm probably being really oblivous to something, but if you could, please explain to me what I should be doing. Thanks very much!

Uhm. I don't quite see what your problem is, but I don't really use imageready and found it quite easy (That said I have used flash quite a bit, so that might have helped)
Basically, you want to have the text fade in then fade out? Simply put:
First frame has both layers of text you want but with opacity 0%, second frame has text you want visible first with opacity 100%, third frame is duplicate of first frame, fourth frame has second text to be visible 100% opacity. Then you use tween.
If it's another way you could read your description of the problem, and you want to have the text on top of each other, you could simply write the text somewhere else and then move it to the correct position. ;P
Disks are always full. It is futile to try to get more disk space. Data expands to fill any void.

Ah problem is solved.
Well, it wasn't the fading in and out that was my problem -
I had wanted more than one text to appear in the same spot, but it had kept putting it on all the frames, which just looked overlapped and screwy. I didn't think to click the invisibility on them Got it figured out now
Thanks for replying
