Amateur Ceramics
Alright, before you go bashing my Noah's Ark for the crummy job I did I must tell you what happened. It was my friend and I's job to bring the cart of Ceramics stuff down to the Kiln room. So we were bringing it down, and we realized the cart was extremely rickety. Now for you to fully realize what happened you must know the setup. It was composed of tubing and was set up like a hotel trolley that delivers luggage by the bag boys. Anyway, there was angle brackets welded to each side you could put shelves on and take shelves off depending on the size of the object being transported. So the shelves were made of wooden planks, and every time I pulled on the cart, or my friend pushed on the cart, the cart would sway in the opposite direction, and every time this happened the bottom was begging to move farther apart. Eventually, the bottom of the cart just came apart and all the shelves fell to the floor. Mostly everything shattered. My Ark fell 5-6' to the floor, and luckily didn't shatter. The majority of the waves that were on the bottom broke off, all my animals fell off (and a multitude of them broke), and unfortunately Noah was decapitated.
I'm not good at explaining things, so a long story short: My Ark fell 5-6' to the floor, and luckily didn't shatter. The majority of the waves that were on the bottom broke off, all my animals fell off (and a multitude of them broke), and unfortunately Noah was decapitated.
I was proud of my Noah too. He was holding a staff, he had a pretty sweet beard (Similar to the Gnome seen in the back view), dreadlocks, and a beret. But every broke off including an arm and a leg, which I glazed back on. I attempted to Glaze the head on but for some reason or another it rolled off and fused to the deck of the boat/the blue dinosaurs butt.

Now, this was an interesting piece. I designed a breakfast plate. Some of the spots I glazed were kind of sloppy. The plate isn't round either and the two color glaze twist thing I tried to do on the plate didn't work out very well.

I thought the two color twist on the vase would look cool, but that didn't work out either. It's still kind of cool having the face project out of the vase, but I think the color ruined it. The Dino also came out okay, except for the fact that somehow, his head ended up two different colors.

I find ceramics very fun myself. I think the best way to show artistic skill in ceramics (my opinion) is to make artistic vases and pottery. It's alot easier to make the desired effect. Don't always use glazes, you paint directly on the surface, let it dry then use a clear glaze to let the piece shine.
But as far as the modeling goes, pretty cool.
