    Just playing around with some lighting, and my practising composition. Its slightly out of focus on my eyes, I know. Dont point it out.

    Only thing I'd say is wrong with it is the focusing on the eyes :P

    Nah lol its good I like the lighting, I wouldn't say the focusing is actually that bad, the framing is great. It takes a little while to get used the low aperture of the 50mm, especially when your trying to take photos of your self, I had to to do a self portrait for uni, took me about 50 shots to get the focus right.

    Yeah, I took about 10, measured the distance and did about 5 auto focus and 5 non. Cant remember what this was. Its even harder taking closeups of things, because you cant really see what your focused on, since the 1.4 makes it so delicate.

    Have you used a 50mm 1.4, 1.8 or smaller?

    the colors and light are very nice and soft. what did you use for light?
    and how did it get out of focus? my 50 f/1.8 focuses very nice, it has a nice sharpness to it that i don't get with other lenses.

    i really like the yellow tone but the eye is seriously out of focus. doesn't do it justice. very good anyhows. [btw is this the same picture i commented yesterday?]

    cause theres such an incredible amount of depth at 1.4 on mine.

    ah yeah, i know what you mean.
    damn, it must have been really dark in the room, f/1.4 and 1/15?
