Kitsune Yokai => Shield

I tried to copy a design off an artist, and ended up making a shield like object,

so i improvised and here is my result, comments and criticism please!

I'm not really liking the bevel and emboss thingy. The font is also somewhat hard to read. Also, the blurriness on both sides aren't really fitting. It looks somewhat flat.
