Hey guys. On monday 19.11.2007 or 11/19-2007 if you want, i was out to take some photographs for the Landscape battle. But this is what i came up with. + one other picture i'm not sure of if i want to do something about. Comment and critics please^^ And someone please tell me if any of the can go as a landscape pic;o

The borders on all of them kind of kill the photos for me. The orange really just hurts it a lot, Flat black or white borders go better most of the time IMO. Try to work on your coloring in the post work next shoot it's kind of i don't know really its just... Well i dunno just work on it a little more. Sorry if i don't word things right I'm having a blond moment and can't think of the right words.
1. Cool shot looks like its rushing water but kind of hard to tell, could just be icicles lol. But looks odd kind of half blurred in the bg and the coloring on the grass is weird the way it flip flops.
2. This is probably my favorite of all of them. Work on your angling. I think it would have been cool to kind of get underneath it more and shoot from that.
Also try to use diagonals. It usually helps a photo to get some diagonal shapes or lines going.
3. This shot is a little bit to distracting by the bg for me. The church seems to be the main focus of the photo but you named it graveyard. So maybe if you got in closer and took a photo more of the graves and less of a landscape of the church area.
4. This one is a bit different. Everything seems to be pretty blurred except for the leave which takes up a very small portion of the photo. Maybe crop is smaller? I definantly like the view o the city in the BG though that looks really cool.
The lighting could be a bit brighter on a couple of these (but thats hard to help outside) what ISO were you using? It might help a little more to use a higher one like 300-800 though that might be too bright or dark. Also for the leaf photo a macro shot might have been cool. Your camera might have it, the icon for it is a little flower looking thing.
Hope my criticism helps a little more.

Dont know why i called the 3rd one Graveyard. Cause i actually wanted the "church + graveyard together" look. I guess that's the pic i'm gonna use for the "Landscape" battle, but i dont know if it's landscape:P
And thanks, helps a lot^^ I thought i would try another type of border(which i saw at DA), but i'll just go back to regular black on these photos^^
And about the angling, i'm definitely going back to that church. Like 2 mins away from me, so... Maybe try out some different anglings..
Btw, i don't know what the hell ISO is I just go with the standard settings, cause i dont know what different things are on my cam
Also: 1st photo is ice only^^ frozen water in a downward motion or something:P

Papa pretty much pointed things out my favourtite would be the first or the last but i agree on the border that isnt so good sry but i like the first and second they look nice
-
i dont know about you guys but my eyes are drawn more towards the picture and not the border, but if we are just talking about the border i think its alright, but i would take off the transparent gold inside box, but thats just me, althought i would take off the border completely on the first picture...good job

They are all a bit underexposed and overcontrasted. You have lost all the information in the dark areas. I guess you have measured the light in the sky which underexposed the ground. Are you sure your monitor is correctly calibrated?
The last photo is the best imo. It has the most interesting composition, but the background is a little bit messy!
Keep on shooting.

I don't know if my monitor is corretly calibrated. But i made the phots a bit dark in postwork on purpose, i guess i just overdid it. I like photos of that kind a bit dark :P But thanks for the CnC Martin^^ Helps
I will keep on shooting^^ Just get my but of the chair
