Default Also tried some apples.. :I

I got inspired by the apple shot so I thought I would shoot some fruit. Never done it before but it was pretty simple. I wanted wet fruit and pretty dark pictures to create a mood. Are they too dark? To get the wet look I simply splashed some water on the fruit.

The shadows are not to dark but I'd like to see brighter highlights. The photo is nice but it's not how I would have done it. When I think of fruit, I think about sunshine, and bright colors. I get a quite gloomy feeling when I see this photo. The photo (and especially the water drops) is nice but I'd love to see some more bright colors, and a brighter light source.

edit: A white background might do it for me

That's why I had it like this. More like a classic portrait than something you'd see in a grocery store advertisement. Thanks for comments.

I think it's pretty cool, but i wouldv'e liked to see more highlights on the apples. I like how it's dark on the sides and BG, but the spots where it's light i think would be good if they were brighter.
Cool texture on the 2nd apple picture, I really like the fact that you picked the normal apples instead of the picture perfect ones.

Hehe I actually removed some of the hotspots. :P That was the only work in Photoshop except resizing.. The rest was raw conversion in Lightroom. I'll take a look...

I like it. Rather unusual compared to a normal still-life, but in a good way. The mysterious dark feel gives it a depth you wouldn't expect from apples and grapes.

I like it a lot more, It really makes the apples stand out a little more rather than blending into the background so much. Good job.
