This is something I am working on. Let me know if the progress I have taken looks accurate. Remember, I am just working on the "outline" and will fill it in later, and the white is not the final color of it.

Looks like a fir trimmed hood. I would say your doing pretty good, but make sure you get the texture in the center right, rather than just filling it white (or whatever color you decide).

Yes, it is the fur around a coat hood. I am not quite sure how I am going to finish the inside of it yet though.

To finish the inside I'd choose one main color and two shades of that color; one lighter and one darker. I think that every once in a while there should be some black or white strands, but not too many. You could find a good reference pic online to give you a better idea on how to finish it too.
