    Default new lens, woho!

Today I bought a canon ef 50mm f/1,8 lens and of course I had to try it right away.

Here is my friend Philippa, I think the lighting was pretty good, though maybe it's a bit tight in the bottom.

and here is pontus, her cute little boyfriend.

    She has very nice eyes
    50mm primes are nice lenses
but when you sharpen, or use the high pass filter and overlay, mask out sharpening on the bokeh; keep it soft. Otherwise you get nasty pixelation where it attempts to find things to sharpen, but just makes the noise more obvious

I have a Pentax 50mm F/1.4, and I use it all the time, for alot of my shots really, its very versatile. The canon 1.8 is an awesome lens for the price, and having the F/1.4 version isn't much better considering its over 3 times the price.
