This is pretty monotone. The text is really nice, however you need to lighten up on the gradient map.
You also need a lightsource in this sig. As you can see there are huge glares on the lefts side of his face, so you should put the lightsource ontop of the left side.
To make a lightsource just go like this:
Create a new layer
Fill it black
Get out a brush and set it to about 100 px, 0% hardness, and 50-80 % opacity.
Using the colorpicker tool pick a color out of the sig that is BRIGHT (you can also use white)
Brush where you want your lightsource to be
Then set it to linear dodge.
This should create a glowing effect and you can repeat this as many times as you need until you get the desired effect.
I think you need to be a bit mroe confident in you blending too.
The cloud liek thing i see ontop of his shoulder is nice, but the opacity is really low it looks like. It's kind of grady and foggy.
Don't lower the opacity on the BG it tends to make it look less confident and organized.
Nice job on the text tho i liek it.

Although blend his shoulder a bit more(or maybe he said that?)

nice attempt..i agree with papa's comment...yeah colour it up more..confident in your blending..dont be afraid to post different versions with different variations.
