workin on text blending

heres my first real try at making the text look pretty



i have very little experience with PS, i'm just trying out with i've learned from the tuts here. I feel my weak point is making my BGs, and tips are more than welcome.

correct if i'm wrong but your bg's are mainle brushes? or it seems to me idk think u coudl do better BG's smudging the render itself around the canvass and lightening the opacity with an alrdy chosen color like black or blue idk that might help you allot more with the bg's or at least its how i do mine =P
