    ok i had seen some1 doing something that looked like a dotted shadow and first i didnt know how to do that but i found it out and made a tut and i dont know if other people made tuts about this but anyway just read the tut

    If you dont have a dotted pattern yet follow these steps:

    - create a new file -> 5x5 transparent

    - zoom in till u cant go anymore

    - now get the pencil tool and set it to 1px

    - draw a dot in the middle

    - now go to edit > define pattern and call it dots or whatever

    - ok you can close the file now

    now for the actual tut open up an image u want to add a shadow to (i
    would suggest a cut out image like mine)

    now hold ctrl and click the layer

    when its still selected make a new layer and movie the selected part where u want it

    now right click on it and select fill now use the dot pattern and click ok ( u can deselect now)

    now place the pattern filled layer under the actual image

    and you are done

    here are my results:

    it can also be filled with other patterns

    ofcourse u can fill it with black too and lower the opacity and maybe add a guassian blur
